The Miniatures Pledge - September (with pictures!)
My pledge for the year is to paint everything in my backlog, which at the beginning of January was at 415 figures. I will limit my miniatures buying to any of the new Ral Partha figures coming from the Chaos Wars Wave 2 Kickstarter, and any needed figures to support specific things in my campaigns.
Started the month with 226 figures in the lead pile.
Painted: 8
3 - 25mm Ral Partha Elven Swordsmen
2 - 25mm Ral Partha Elven Commanders
3 - 25mm Ral Partha Orc Troops
Bought:
0 - for the seventh month in a row!
Ended of the month with 218 figures in the pile.
For the year, I'm up by +174 figures.
This month was a prep month, with a lot of time spent preparing figures for the fall and winter season. It's hard to spray paint in Chicago in winter. I prepared over 60 Orcs, Goblins and Elven cavalry. More to do in October. I also prepared and primed some buildings.
I also took time to do the Commander figures. I finally painted faces that look good, using the Foundry method. So although my count was low, I'm very pleased with the results. See below!
